Ingredients
5 cups granulated sugar
2-2/3 cups finely chopped green peppers
1-1/2 cups white vinegar
6 oz. liquid pectin (usually found with the canning products, or sometimes in the sugar section)
- Chop peppers finely. (I used a food processor.)
- In a large saucepan, combine sugar, peppers and vinegar.
- Stir and bring to a full rolling boil.
- Boil over medium-high heat for 15 minutes, skimming off foam. (I used a spoon for this.)
- Remove from heat. Add pectin and stir for 2 minutes.
- Pour into sterilized jars.
It's so easy to serve. Put a block of cream cheese on a plate and pour the jelly on top.
Just serve with crackers. This is one of my favorite brands. It comes in several flavors, but I especially like the cracked pepper.
Since it is close to Thanksgiving, I decided to use them as gifts for friends, except for the 12 oz. jar which I kept for myself.
You could save them for Christmas as well.
Hope you like it! I find it a bit addictive.
