1 pound butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar (I used half light brown and half dark brown)
4 to 4-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Then add the remaining flour until you achieve a non-sticky dough.
It makes a wonderfully soft dough.
At this point I was pretty impressed with myself for getting this to come together so easily.
I trim off the edges after rolling it out to get a rectangle a size that works, and finish by using a tape measure to get pieces of a similar size.
They are starting to look official now.
Transfer to wire racks to cool.
